Simon Wood Power & Oval 316 Celebrate First Anniversary.

Simon Wood Power has celebrated his first year as owner and managing director of the Poole Business Oval 316 Ltd. Since Mr Wood Power took over it has experienced a 30 percent rise in sales and an accompanying 20 percent rise in staff numbers.

Oval 316, formally Malcolm Cole, has been established for over 25 years. The business makes Oval 316 stainless steel tubing used for handrails, furniture and deck fittings on super-yachts. Its subsidiary company, The Tank Company Ltd, manufactures high quality fuel and water tanks for the country's foremost powerboats builders.

Since Simon took over the helm in 2003 the company has expanded to work on a variety of exciting new projects including a range of designer radiators for Bisque. Most recently it has also invested in a water jet cutting machine that will be launched in April.

Simon said “The past year has been very exciting for me and I am looking forward to continued expansion in 2004.”
