Oval 316 Tube
Oval has been producing its custom tube since 1986. Standard sizes range from 23.5mmX17mm right up to 163 mm X 109 mm, with 13 intermediate sizes. Standard production is in 316l stainless steel but other grades can be accommodated on request.
All sizes have corresponding castings: joiners, elbows, end caps. These are custom investment cast for us in the highest quality 316L stainless steel to very tight tolerances.
Tube and castings can be supplied in one of four finishes:
- Superyacht Mirror; very shiney, finest quality with no blemishes of any sort. Generally used on boats of 50 metres upwards.
- Yacht Mirror: very shiney no blemishes or inclusions. Used on boats up to say 50 metres long.
- Satin: 320 or 240 grit, ”brushed” finish. Typically used for architectural applications
- Mill: as manufactured with no post processing.
Custom sizes of tube may be accommodated subject to tooling and development costs and sufficient quantity.
Our “Slotted Oval” is as the name suggests slotted in either plane to be used typically for edging glass as a handrail. Slots are custom manufactured to suite your application.
